Draymond Green is not the type to whisper praise or hate, as he lauded the NBA commissioner. The long-awaited battle between the Eastern and Western Champions finally kicked off on June 2 when the Boston Celtics attacked the Warriors in the 4th quarter and won a massive victory over foreign territory. The Boston Celtics led an exciting fourth-quarter comeback in the fourth quarter to draw first blood in Thursday’s best-of-seven NBA Finals series, beating the Golden State Warriors 120-108, something Draymond wasn’t proud of.
Draymond was speaking off-court, not off-court, as he stunned the Boston Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors were undefeated at home in the 2022 NBA playoffs and for three quarters looked set to dominate Game 1 of their NBA Finals series against the Boston Celtics. But things fell apart horribly in the final 12 minutes of the game, when the visitors entered the Chase Center, beating the Warriors 40-16 for a 120-108 fourth-quarter win.
Stephen Curry was the game’s top scorer with 34 points, while Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole also added 44 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. In the end, it wasn’t enough to top the performance of Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, and Al Horford. Derrick White the away team managed to steal the home advantage in Game 1.

“One of the best CEOs in the world” Draymond Green commends NBA Commissioner
Before the 2022 NBA Finals kick off, commissioner Adam Silver held a wide-ranging press conference to address a number of key issues about the league and its future. Apparently, his answers earned him more support than one of the NBA’s most outspoken players, Draymond Green. Draymond clearly liked the play-in tournament Adam Silver added, and is apparently a fan of Adam Silver in general. Here is his tweet –
Adam Silver led a great era of basketball and the game has truly become a global sport. The Golden State star expressed how impressed he was with Silver after his press conference on Thursday. He praised the NBA’s top-ranked figure not only as one of the best commissioners in the sport, but as one of the best CEOs in the world at all top organizations.
Silver brushed off numerous NBA-related issues ahead of Game 1 of the Finals, where the Celtics beat the Green’s Warriors 120-108. He announced that he was considering changing the league’s All-NBA voting process and said he was “confident” that it would change the league’s management policy regarding the ‘transition foul’. The CEO also got into the waters of league expansion talk amid rumors that the NBA might be exploring the addition of new franchises.
The NBA has expanded its reach from the North American continent to the rest of the world. Green isn’t exactly someone you’d describe as a teacher’s favourite, but Adam Silver’s commendable work has had and has earned honest praise from the Warriors. There’s a lot to love about modern basketball and we’ll have to wait to see what additions Adam Silver will make to the league in the future, with support from Draymond Green.
