3 Ways to Get a Partner Link

Moyens I/O has several ways to get a partner link:

• Copy the link from “Tools” → “Links” on the partner program page.
• Generate a URL through the builder on the partner program page. The advantage of this tool is that you can create a URL on any page of the brand’s site if the ready-made links do not match your content.
• Install the Moyens I/O extension for the Google Chrome browser. Unlike the other two methods with the extension, you can create an affiliate link in just a few clicks without logging into your Moyens I/O account.

Advantages of Moyens I/O Extension

• You do not need to grant access to your Moyens I/O account. With the extension, you don’t need to give your assistants access to your personal account or log in to create affiliate links. You can create a partner URL from the brand’s website or from any browser tab.
• Partner links for different domains. If the brand takes into account reservation on regional sites, you can use the extension to create an affiliate link to any domain name such as raileurope.com, raileurope.com.au, raileurope.co.th and others.
• Shorten partner links. The extension includes URL shorteners so you can create a short affiliate link. This is convenient for working with social networks that limit the number of characters per post. Short links also do not contain technical parameters, which leads to a higher conversion rate.

How to Create Affiliate Link with Moyens I/O Extension

1. Load addition Via the Chrome web store. It is free to connect and use the extension.
2. Open the list of extensions (the puzzle icon in the browser) and select Moyens I/O.
   

3. Enter your ID in the form that opens. You’ll find your ID in the top right corner of your Moyens I/O account.
   

4. Select the partner program from the drop-down list.
   

5. If necessary, enter the ALT ID. SUB ID is an optional parameter that helps you monitor statistics for each traffic source or agent. Adding partner links is optional.
6. Copy the generated link and paste it into your project.
7. If necessary, shorten the link. Enter a long URL in the “Short Link” field and press the “Short Link” button. The short link will be automatically copied to the clipboard.
   

Note: The extension can only create affiliate links for programs you are affiliated with on Moyens I/O. If you want to create a URL on a brand page that you haven’t worked on yet, the extension will offer to create another link or join the program in your account.

5 Tips for Working with the Moyens I/O Extension

1. Use Topbar to Generate Affiliate Links to a Specific Web Page

You can create affiliate links to the home pages of certain brands’ sites using the extension from any tab of the browser. However, content is not always needed for home pages. For example, if you write about a hotel in Paris, you should leave a link to that hotel. Links to specific offers convert high, as your reader will be able to book a room in minutes and not search for the hotel described among the thousands of options on the site.

You can create an affiliate link to a specific page using the Moyens I/O extension top bar. Ask your Assistant to enable the “Show Topbar on Partner Programs Sites” function in the settings. When this feature is enabled, a string of text with a generated affiliate link will appear at the top of the brand’s website. Here you can specify the SUB ID, copy the long URL or shorten the URL.

2. Use ALT ID to Evaluate Effectiveness of Affiliate Links

SUB ID is an optional feature that helps you track clicks and sales separately for each traffic source or vehicle. If you want to evaluate their position on the page or the effectiveness of the links to the content topic, make a list of the required SUB ID and ask the helper to specify this parameter when creating the public URLs.

For example, you can specify the ALT ID as “ for partner links added to articles about budget travel.cheap_travel_post”. Links to articles about your summer trip to Greece later on “greece_summer_postSUB IDENTITY. Group the SUB ID report data to find out what content the links work best on (the “Reports” → “Summary” section in your Moyens I/O account).

3. Use Short Common Links

Shorten any affiliate links that do not contain technical parameters, as shortened links have a higher trust level than long URLs. It is easier to add short links to posts on social networks. They are limited in the number of characters, which helps to save space in the posts.

There are currently three link shorteners built into the extension: Tinyurl, Bitly, and is.gd. You can choose the right one for your project from the settings. The type of affiliate link depends on the shortener, as the URL contains the name of one of these services. For example, minicurl.com/2qlncchv or is.gd/ZaP7wt.

The short link also includes its public pointer and ALT ID. This means that reducing the URL does not affect the affiliate reward, but will be charged for each purchase made after visiting the site via the short URL.

4. Set Hotkeys to Create Common Links Faster

The Moyens I/O extension supports hotkeys. They can be set in Google extensions. Ask the Assistant to open “Extensions” → “Manage Extensions” → “Keyboard shortcuts” (chrome:/extensions/shortcuts). Here you can specify suitable combinations to activate the extension, quickly shorten and copy the link. It’s almost a double key.

5. Notice the Green Indicator on the Extension Icon

The extension icon displays a green circle when you switch to the brand site you are affiliated with in Moyens I/O. Thanks to this indicator, you can quickly check the affiliated programs and join the programs you want before transferring your work to the assistant with their partner connections.
