How to become a travel blogger

Becoming a travel blogger and making money traveling the world may seem like a dream come true, but anyone can do it. While not easy, it’s definitely something worth investigating.

Become a travel blogger – steps to travel blog success.

Decide to become a travel blogger – Remember This is not easy!

It may be difficult for you to make a living by writing a travel blog at first, so you will need a steady income or savings until you start to become more successful. People who have almost nothing to save and buy a one-way ticket to start traveling and blogging will find they’re in big trouble later on.

If you don’t have enough money to cover your various bills and expenses, it’s important to have a neat and organized business while creating your travel blog. The sad truth is that writing travel blogs cannot be quickly monetized because it is something you will have to work on creating over time until you become more and more successful. When you save enough money, you will have more time to research, read and write blog posts.

You can’t give up – Don’t listen to the losers.

I’ve heard from many people that there is no money to be made in the travel niche and that it is impossible to compete with more established bloggers, but those who say this really haven’t put in the necessary time and effort. To be successful. Writing a successful travel blog isn’t easy, but it’s definitely worth all the hard work you have to do. If it were easy to make a lot of money by blogging, many more people would be rich and successful.

Choose a specific niche – Generally, travel is considered a niche in its own right, but you need to target a specific audience if you want the best possible results. Blogging about travel in general takes a lot of time and hard work, along with many resources that may get you nowhere.

Choose a specific topic – A destination can be sports tourism in general, cycling, luxury travel, backpacking, history tourism, or something else entirely. You’ll want to focus on a more specific topic to delve deeper and provide readers with valuable information. Travelers always look for answers on where to go before they embark on their trip, and a well-written article will definitely benefit you both.

Create something interesting – There are many travel bloggers who are famous without any experience in internet marketing; they just go all over the place and share their ideas on social networks. Many people tend to respond to crazy, new, interesting ideas and things they can’t afford themselves. The idea of traveling the world or visiting some extremely wild places for almost no money appeals to many people.

The quality of the content you have on your blog is extremely important. It is better to take the time to do the necessary research for your articles so they really help the readers. This way you will be able to make a significant amount of money from your travel blog.

Monitor and research the travel market before you start

The travel industry changes depending on a number of different factors, including financial crises, political issues, and financial crises, so what was popular for one year could be a terrible choice for this year. If you don’t have experience in the travel niche, you don’t have to worry. Writing in the travel niche isn’t as difficult as it sounds, but you’ll need to use basic common sense when trying to come up with a good idea.

Assuming 2015 wasn’t the best economic year for most countries, the currency is not stable and there are problems with immigration and unemployment. So it doesn’t look like anything will change anytime soon. Travelers seek travel options on a tight budget. There are some destinations that are safer to visit than others and are perfect for those planning to start in the travel niche because of the possibility of finding a new destination with low competition.

What I’m going to do is google “value target 2016” and the first link to an article from “Lonely Planet”. This website has suggested a few different destinations worth looking into for a worthwhile vacation in 2016. I copied the names of these destinations one by one and checked them for competition using a special tool. I was surprised to see that “Galica Spain” has low competition, good CPC and monthly calls.

As you can see from the image above, the keyword “Galicia Spain” has 12 100 monthly searches, CPC is 1.37 and overall competition is moderate. You can read about competition and keyword research in travel from another post.

You can find the statistics of the top 10 main competitors using the image below.

Keyword research in the travel niche, competition research

I did deeper keyword research and found around 25 keywords with 1000+ monthly searches and all the competition is easy to manage.

Normally travel bloggers use one of two ways:

There is a type of blogger who creates diary-type blogs. These bloggers often talk about their adventures, describe their travel route, and share photos as well as videos. The biggest problem with this type of blog is that you need to constantly update the content and most readers stop visiting you after your travel route is finished.

Another type of blogger creates informative articles similar to what you might see in a guidebook about places to visit, tourist advice, and how-to articles. If you take the time to create your referral blog and write about where you live or about a single target destination, your articles will tend to live much longer and be seen by more people on your blog. But the problem with these articles is that most of them don’t have a lot of personality, so they can be pretty boring.

If you want to take the right step and become a serious travel blogger, you will need to combine both methods and establish a real connection with your readers and allow your personality to emerge in the way you write. You also need to make sure your posts offer factual information that can help tourists make good decisions before choosing where to travel.

TIPS FOR CHOOSING A NIC:

  • Always write about something that interests you. If you choose a topic that you do not like or do not know, the quality of your content will not be very good.
  • Research the Competition—If you want to be successful in the long run, you shouldn’t really care about the competition in your niche, but instead, you will need to analyze and scrutinize them to find out what they’re missing out on in order to do so.
  • Make sure your niche has enough to write about.

Being a travel blogger and making money traveling all over the world is more than economical, but you have to see it as a job, you have to build an audience over time so your work will reward you in various ways. Here are the best ways to monetize travel blogs:
