The Snapchat app has also become a way to share what you do every day through Snapchat Stories, which your friends and followers can see without sending it directly to them.

The July Snapchat update boosts your Snapchat stories with a new Memories feature, and the My Eyes Only option will help you keep your private Snaps private.
Here’s what the new Snapchat features are and how to use Snapchat Memories and Snapchat My Eyes Only.
What are Snapchat Memories?
Snapchat Memories is a personalized collection of your best Snaps. This allows you to scroll up and see your favorite snaps at a glance. Even better, it’s searchable so you can find Snaps and the Stories you want.
You can search for “dog”, “NYC”, “baby” and others to see the Snaps and Snapchat stories they want.
When that’s convenient for you, you can swipe up from the camera screen to see your Snapchat Memories.
How to Use Snapchat Memories
While your account is active, you can swipe up to use Snapchat Memories and My Eyes Only.
When you take a Snap, you can choose to save it to memories to make sure the memories you want are saved.
You can also add Stories to Snaps so you can combine various Snapchat Stories in one bigger memory.
Once this is unlocked, you can send Snaps from Memories to a Story or to your friends in new ways. Swipe up from the camera screen to see your snaps
When Can I Use Snapchat Memories?
You can use Snapchat Memories later in July.
Right now you will have to wait to use Snapchat Memories on your iPhone or Android. The July Snapchat update adds the Snapchat Memories feature, but it’s not yet unlocked for everyone.
You don’t need to sign up for a waiting list, join any Facebook group, or pay to unlock Snapchat Memories.
You will receive a message from Team Snapchat when your account is ready for Snapchat Memories. Until then, you can’t swipe up to access Snapchat Memories.
Snapchat Memories feature will be rolled out to users with a gradual rollout throughout this month.
What is Snapchat My Eyes Only?
Exclude photos and videos from Memories Only with My Eyes.
The Snapchat My Eyes Only feature lets you share your Snapchat Memories with others while looking at your phone, but keep some of your photos and videos private.
When viewing Snapchat Memories, you can tap on My Snap at the top and select Just Move to My Eyes so it doesn’t show up in your Memories.
Snapchat Memories Backups
While Snapchat doesn’t back up your camera roll, it does back up Snapchat Memories to Snapchat so you don’t lose them if your phone breaks. Snapchat only backs up photos and videos you add to a new Story or My Eyes Only.
