You know how a blurry face follows someone on the news screen? Yes, but with emojis.
Getting this to work can be tricky, but with some practice and the right kind of videos you should be good to go.
How to Use Snapchat Emoji Follow Options
The moving Snapchat emoji will follow the objects around the screen, but the Snapchat app needs to be able to distinguish it from the background and that it’s an object you dropped the emoji on.
A cream-colored dog isn’t well suited for running across a beige carpet, but it works impressively when there are different backgrounds and movement is mainly on the screen.

Tap the sticker icon and then choose a sticker for the 3D emoji on Snapchat.
Record a video on Snapchat by holding down the shutter button. When something passes, you can follow it a little or move with it, but less action on your part is better.
Tap the sticker button in the top right after you finish recording. Do not add emoji with text.

Touch and hold the sticker and the video will stop and you will need to place it on an object.
While the Emoji or Sticker is on the screen, you have to press and hold the emoji. This will pause the video and allow you to place it where you want it to be. You can repeat this to add more animated Snapchat Emojis to your videos.
When you’re done, you can send it to a Snapchat contact, add it to My Story, or save it to your camera roll.
Snapchat Emojis: When Are 3D Stickers Coming to iPhone?
Most new Snapchat features are coming to iPhone and Android at the same time, and we’ve seen the iPhone receive updates a little early in the past, but not this time.
Animated Snapchat emoji update is currently only available on Android smartphones. We should see the iPhone Snapchat update arrive in the next few weeks, which could mean a release in May or late April.
