It was a busy day for Apple; At a recent press event at its current headquarters in the Infinite Loop, the company showed updates to most of its lineup: a new, smaller iPad Pro, a cheaper iPad Air 2, new Apple Watch bands, a cheaper Apple Watch, and the public iOS 9.3. being driven. The range has had a number of small but significant changes, and the Apple TV is no exception.
Today’s software update for tvOS (the new version is exactly tvOS 9.2), in addition to bringing a number of requested features to the platform, also fixes a few limitations of the software, such as increasing the capabilities of Apple’s virtual assistant Siri.

Most of what’s coming to Apple TV today are capabilities that other Apple products such as the iPhone and iPad have long had. Perhaps the biggest software add-on is an enhancement to Siri that enables real voice dictation. Instead of just using Siri to search for a movie to watch, you can now use Siri to search the App Store with your voice, or enter passwords by spelling out on your Apple TV remote.
Other new features include folder support; You can now organize your Apple TV home screen the way you want by grouping app types into individual folders. There’s also a new Apple TV Podcasts app, which is good news for anyone who listens to podcasts regularly. The app must sync with the iOS Podcasts app for your iPhone and iPad, so if you already have a collection of podcasts in your stream, they’ll also appear on your TV screen.
