iPhone 15 Pro Max may win again in photos with its giant sensor

There have been many iPhone 15 leaks so far, but these only scratch the surface of what’s really waiting for us with Apple’s next smartphone. Aside from some bad news regarding the design and price, we ultimately know very little about the upcoming Pro Max model. But that’s without relying on the Ice Universe leak, which still has a small leak under its elbow.

On Twitter, he announced the main sensor that will equip the next flagship of the manufacturer. According to him, the iPhone 15 Pro Max would thus be equipped with Sony IMX903. a giant 1.14 inch sensor. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is equipped with a 1/1.28 inch Sony IMX803. Its successor’s sensor will therefore be much larger, allowing it to capture more light and detail in its images.

iPhone 15 Pro Max relies on a big sensor to be king of photography

Moreover, Ice Universe seems to indicate that the performance of this sensor will approach that of a one-inch sensor like the ones found in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, to name a few. In other words, everything points to Apple’s plans to tackle the competition in the photography space, specifically the best photophones of the moment.

Frankly, we can’t comment on the actual performance of this sensor at this time, and we’ll have to wait for the first tests to see what’s really going on. Still, it’s clear that the iPhone 15 Pro Max looks very promising for now. We will have to wait for future leaks to confirm these predictions.
