A small revolution is being prepared. The European Union has managed to impose its will on Apple, and Apple will have to implement the USB-C socket in its future iPhones. According to Apple expert Ming Chi Kuo, The Cupertino company found a way to continue running its MFi program (Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad). Certified products will benefit from the best features, such as fast charging for the 20 W USB-C power adapter or faster transfer speeds for certified cables. So Apple will restrict the performance of non-MFi cables. According to Ming Chi Kuo, if the iPhone 15 achieves the expected success, sales of the 20 W USB-C power adapter should increase as well.

Costing only €25 in the French Apple store, the 20W USB-C charger will offer the best performance/price ratio to all users of the new Apple brand smartphone. And again, for such a price, customers can even buy a few so they don’t have to move their chargers from one place to another. The financial expert believes that Charger sales could increase 30%-40% each year.

So the fears of observers seem to have been confirmed. To take advantage of the optimal performance of the iPhone 15 and next-generation Apple smartphones, you will need to purchase MFi-certified accessories. Otherwise, you’ll have to make do with slower transfer speeds.
