Apple’s iPhone 6 iOS 9 update is now two weeks old. We’ve seen a lot of changes in these two weeks, including two new iOS 9 upgrades. With that in mind, we want to summarize what we’ve learned about the iPhone 6 iOS 9 update since its debut in September.
When Apple announced iOS 9 at WWDC 2015, it wasn’t surprising to hear that the company was preparing an iPhone 6 iOS 9 release. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are only a year old and both have long lives ahead of them. iOS 9 is the first major iOS upgrade.
Last month, Apple delivered. The iOS 9 update was released on September 16 for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, bringing new features, improvements, and more to legacy flagship iPhone models.
Two weeks ago we downloaded and installed the iPhone 6 iOS 9.0 update. A week after that, we downloaded the iOS 9.0.1 update, a minor bug fixer that fixed some annoying iOS 9 issues.
Yesterday we replaced iOS 9.0.1 with iOS 9.0.2, a brand new upgrade that brings its own collection of fixes for iOS 9 issues. We haven’t installed the iOS 9.1 update yet, but the general release seems to be coming soon.
