iOS 16.2 includes a major change to the Always-on Display feature of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The latter so far was quite different from what we know from its competitors, because screen does not turn off completely. In fact, the latter only makes your screen darker and still allows you to see the wallpaper on the lock screen.
Many users did not like the way the always-on mode works on the iPhone, because besides being a little more greedy about autonomy, often causing users to think they were receiving a message because their screen was lit. So instead of letting iPhone owners disconnect, they were often ahead of their smartphones.
