The iOS 9.1 jailbreak release date came as a surprise to many users this week, arriving on iPhones and iPads just days before the iOS 9.3 release date.
This is an interesting new iOS 9 jailbreak that will help some users, but it comes after Apple released iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1 that didn’t work with the new tool.
If you are one of the users who are still on the iOS 9.1 update, you can now use this tool to upgrade. This is especially helpful for users who purchased a new iPhone or iPad after iOS 9.1 but before Apple updated their device to iOS 9.2 or higher.
The Pangu team also announced that the Apple TV 4 jailbreak is coming on the net week. This probably won’t provide many user features, but it will take an important step in the right direction.

Note that this is not proof that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak or iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak is imminent.

Apple closed the loophole that this jailbreak used in the iOS 9.2 update, and it’s definitely still closed in iOS 9.3.
With the iOS 9.3 release date so close, you may see an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak or have to wait for someone to develop an iOS 9.3 jailbreak. Jailbreaking is getting harder, or at least the waiting time is getting longer.
There is some evidence that iOS 9.2 jailbreak is possible on a single device, and user statistics show that this tool provides an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak and is running on iOS 9.3 beta. If this is still available, we could see it coming after a general iOS 9.3 release.
iOS 9.1 Jailbreak issues
There are some iOS 9.1 jailbreak issues that you may encounter when you try to use this tool. If you installed the iOS 9.1 update over-the-air, problems usually occur more frequently.
