If you’re already encountering iOS 9.0.2 issues or are unsure about installing Apple’s new update, there are some things you need to take care of.
Yesterday Apple released another iOS 9 update called iOS 9.0.2. The update comes a week after iOS 9.0.1 and two weeks after Apple released the brand new iOS 9 operating system. Like iOS 9.0.1, iOS 9.0.2 is a bug fix update that aims to fix iOS 9 issues.
iOS 9 issues have been popping up at a steady rate since Apple’s first iOS 9 release on September 16. iOS 9 users have been complaining of issues ranging from poor battery life to connectivity issues and lag issues.
iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2 fixed some of the more annoying iOS 9 problems, but they failed to fix them all. iPhone and iPad users continue to complain about issues, and we’re starting to see users having issues with iOS 9.0.2.
With these iOS 9.0.2 issues in mind, we’d like to take a look at a few things that might help if you run into problems with Apple’s new update, and a few things to keep in mind before installing iOS 9.0.2. Your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
iOS 9.0.2 Has Issues
Before you install iOS 9.0.2 on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, know that there are iOS 9.0.2 issues that are bothering some users.
Apple’s discussion boards and social media sites are flooded with feedback on the iOS 9.0.2 update. While some are positive, there are others who have reported issues with Apple’s latest iOS 9 update.
Early iOS 9.0.2 issues include: Problems with backing up iPhone, phones immortality Study, Problems with maps, Other issues with the Podcasts app, Problems with Wi-Fi, Problems connecting to LTEand iOS 9.0.2 battery life issues.
After updating my phone to iOS 9.0.2, my phone is getting hot and its battery is dying. Not a good sign.

iOS 9.0.2 has issues, that’s obvious, but it seems that most (if not all) of them are reserved for a few users.
We haven’t seen any complaints about any major common iOS 9.0.2 issues. While not common issues, know that you risk updating to iOS 9.0.2.
To help, we’ve compiled a list of things to do before installing iOS 9.0.2. We’ve also put together some upgrade tips to help.
If you decide that the fixes iOS 9.0.2 brings outweigh the potential of iOS 9.0.2 issues, take a look at them before installing.
Keep in mind that Apple never forces you to install its updates, and there are some good reasons you might want to avoid the iOS 9.0.2 update, at least for now. These problems are just one of the reasons.
iOS 9.0.2 Feedback
Pay attention to the feedback on the iOS 9.0.2 update. This applies to those of you who have already upgraded and those who are still borderline.
We’ve taken a close look at the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5 iOS 9.0.2 updates and our impressions are present and a great starting point for potential iOS 9.0.2 users. We will add more as time goes on.
We mentioned that these are great starting points. You’ll also want to pay attention to feedback from other iPhone and iPad users.
We’ve received a ton of feedback on Apple’s discussion forums and on YouTube, and this ongoing feedback will help you identify both current and future issues.
Fixes for iOS 9.0.2 Issues
If you’re currently experiencing iOS 9.0.2 issues, Apple’s discussion forums are also a great place to ask for help.
You’ll also want to check out our list of fixes for common iOS 9 issues. Our list doesn’t include every single iOS 9.0.2 issue, but does include fixes for common issues like broken Wi-Fi, poor battery life, and more.
Like our impressions, these fixes are a great starting point if you’re dealing with issues or just want to educate yourself before installing the iOS 9.0.2 update. There’s no way to predict whether you’ll see problems, so you’ll want to be as prepared as possible.
You can drop it
If you run into iOS 9.0.2 issues, you’ll have one more exit.
Apple is no longer signing iOS 8.4.1 and iOS 9.0 updates, but is signing iOS 9.0.1 update. This means that if you decide that your iOS 9.0.2 problems are too much, you can revert to iOS 9.0.1.
We found iOS 9.0.2 to be as stable as iOS 9.0.1, but reverting to an older version of iOS 9 can help performance on the device you’re using.
You’ll have to be quick though. Apple may stop logging out on iOS 9.0.1 in the near future, which will doom you to iOS 9.0.2.
iOS 9.1 Release Can Help
If you’re dealing with iOS 9.0.2 issues, know that Apple hasn’t approved an iOS 9.0.3 update and probably won’t before it’s released. iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2 bypassed the beta process and appeared out of nowhere. At this point we cannot rely on an iOS 9.0.3 release.
Apple has another iOS 9 update on the way, in the form of iOS 9.1. iOS 9.1 is the first milestone update for the operating system and will bring a host of features and improvements to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It can also bring fixes for iOS 9.0.2 issues.
We’ve also heard that iOS 9.1 beta performance is solid on many devices, including the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6. That bodes well for you iPhone owners.
we started to pay attention Feedback on iOS 9.1 beta at the moment.
