References from users who came together Issues with iOS 16 social networks are increasing in number. Specifically, they complain that Face ID has been working intermittently or not working at all since the iOS 16 update. The message “Face ID is not available, try to install Face ID later” appears on iPhone screens. They have turned to the internet and social media to find a solution that has so far failed.

Face ID, a facial recognition system that first appeared in iOS 11 in 2017, is a technology that Apple has now mastered very well. 30,000 infrared dots are projected onto the user’s face to render it in 3D. All the owner’s face data is stored on the iPhone’s Silicon chip in a secure part of the SoC. As such, it is an almost perfect security and unlocking system, as the chance of cheating on it is one in a million.

Face ID no longer works for many iPhone owners running iOS 16

We’re talking theory here because a hiccup is always possible. If Face ID isn’t working as it is for some users right now, you can at best revert to the good old security code to unlock the device. HE unfortunately it can be disabled completely When some sensitive apps, especially those of banks, use your face as an identifier.

It’s hard to know the extent of the problem. Most of the users who updated their iPhone to iOS 16 did not encounter this issue. And at this time, it’s not possible to say whether the malfunction affects another iPhone model or one iOS version more than the other. Indeed, the Face ID bug is affecting relatively recent references like the iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone X. Is the problem software or hardware to blame? Nobody knows. Even the Apple technicians, where some internet users brought their devices, have not been able to find a convincing answer. Let’s hope for them iOS developers are working hard to quickly release a corrective update to the operating system.
