All major carriers are taking iPhone 8 pre-orders, and you can also see some iPhone 8 pre-orders at Best Buy. You have to decide whether to buy the iPhone 8 from a carrier or Apple. There are some reasons not to buy the iPhone 8 from an Apple Store.
The Apple Store App is often the most reliable way to pre-order the iPhone 8 from Apple. This usually works better than using the Apple website. If you are on an Apple iPhone upgrade plan, you must purchase your new phone from Apple.
You can use many carrier payment plans at Apple, but not all. If you are using T-Mobile or an older payment plan service, it may be better to purchase the new iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus directly from your carrier’s website.

Apple and Best Buy allow you to pre-order the iPhone 8 online for in-store pickup on September 22. Apple stores open early today and you’ll be able to stop there from 8am.
If you go this route, you don’t have to line up early at an Apple Store. You’ll do the purchasing process online, and when September 22 arrives, you just have to come and pick it up that day or the weekend.
