Apple has removed Fortnite from the iPhone and iPad App Store today, so if you’re a new player you won’t be able to install it. If you have Fortnite installed on your iPhone or iPad, you can still install it, but you need to know where to look. Here’s how to reinstall Fortnite when it’s not on the App Store in 2020.
Apple says Fortnite is no longer on the App Store because it “violates App Store guidelines”, and while we expect the game to return to the App Store soon, this isn’t helping you or your kids.
If you’ve installed Fortnite on an iPhone or iPad, you can still reinstall it on a new device. You can even do this with a Family Share account.
Wait for Fortnite to install on your new iPhone or iPad. Once the app is installed, we hope you can continue to play the game normally, but with the new way Epic Games added, in-app purchases may not be available.
This is a temporary fix. When August 27 returns, if this isn’t resolved, you may not be able to play Fortnite on an iPhone or iPad.
Epic Games is trolling Apple with a “1984” Fortnite video. This is beautiful…epic pic.twitter.com/4a8DJfJa5b
