Here’s How Long Does the iPadOS 13.7 Update Take?

The iPadOS 13.7 update is a minor milestone upgrade, but it may still take some time to download and install on your computer. iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Airor iPad mini.

The latest version iPadOS 13 comes with bug fixes for ongoing issues. There aren’t any new features on board, but it’s a significant upgrade.

If you migrate your iPad from iPadOS 13.6.1 to iPadOS 13.7, you will have the shortest changelog and smallest download size.

When you’re ready, you’ll want to start the iPadOS 13.7 download.

The exact size of the iPadOS 13.7 download will depend on your iPad version and the version of the embedded operating system.

If your iPad is currently running iPadOS 13.6.1, your download will be quite small. If you’re using older software like iOS 12, your download may be larger than a gigabyte.

If you’re upgrading your iPad from legacy firmware, it may take 10 minutes or longer for your installation to complete.

Note that your iPad may restart itself several times during the setup process. This is completely normal.

Post install

After the installation process is complete, you may need to spend time logging into your iCloud account, signing into your device’s various apps and services, and/or setting up Apple Pay.

You may want to spend some time checking your important data (photos, videos, music, etc.) to make sure everything is still there.

After doing that, you should test your core apps and services to make sure they are working normally. If you notice a problem with an app, try downloading the latest version. Developers are still rolling out iPadOS 13 support updates and these will help stabilize performance.
