Galaxy S8 can’t compete with iPhone 8, according to Insider

Samsung Galaxy S8 cannot touch iPhone 8. This is the prediction of industry-famous Ming-Chi Kou, who boldly stated that Apple will beat Samsung in 2017.

Samsung is facing a tough battle to beat the LG G6 and is already running Galaxy S8 ads even though the phone has not been officially announced yet. After Samsung beat the Galaxy S8 initial release hype, the company is facing a bigger challenge than the iPhone 8.

Apple continues to prepare the 10th anniversary iPhone, the iPhone 8, which rumors indicate will feature a new design, OLED display, improved cameras and other exciting features. Thanks to the leaks, we know practically everything you can expect from the Galaxy S8, and Ming-Chi Kou thinks that’s not enough.

According to industry information, the Samsung Galaxy S8 cannot compete with the iPhone 8.

In a shared report 9to5Mac Kou outlines the two main problems in the Galaxy S8 way. First off, Samsung should bail out customers from last year’s failed Galaxy Note 7 release. Samsung is already running ads about battery safety, but it has a long way to go.

More importantly, Kou says the iPhone 8 will likely make it “the bigger draw for consumers.”

The iPhone 7 introduced some new features, but a very similar design that feels more like an “s” upgrade. With a huge iPhone 8 redesign potential and new iPhone 8 features you’ll see, touch and use every day, Kou’s note makes a lot of sense.

Samsung’s display could help attract customers to the new phone with a curved Infinity Display that runs along the phone’s edges. We saw a similar long screen on the LG G6 that arrived in April.

Samsung plans to announce the Galaxy S8 at an event on March 29, and we expect this version to arrive very soon. We expect an Apple event in April, but if it does, the focus will be on the iPad Pro 2, iOS, macOS Sierra and possibly a red iPhone 7. Rumors point to the iPhone 8 launching in September. There is potential for an iPhone 8 release date coming in October, not just a week and a half as we normally see.
