Clash of Clans is one of the most popular mobile games on the planet and has been around for over three years. However, recently the developers released a similar game with many of the same features called Clash Royale. It’s a completely different real-time strategy game and packed with unique features. Below are five great Clash Royale features we want in Clash of Clans.
When Clash Royale was announced in January with a similar overall look and feel to Clash of Clans, but with a completely different gameplay style, many were excited. Its global and Android release date arrived in March and it quickly hit the top of the download charts. It’s one of the best and most addicting games of recent times, and Clash of Clans could learn a thing or two from it.
Supercell is one of the best developers to constantly update their games with more features and additional content, and we know more to come. Another big Clash of Clans update is rumored for March or April with new troops, Clan War changes and more, but we hope a few Clash Royale features will appear in Clash of Clans.
Clash of Clans hasn’t been so lucky with updates lately. A major December update changed the whole game, January updates were supposed to fix these issues, and complaints still come in every day. We’ve detailed a few changes and features we want above, and we’re not alone when we say that many of the features in Clash Royale will be welcomed in Clash of Clans.
The fact that one is a tower defense and village building game and the other is a real-time strategy and card collecting game means they can’t be very similar. Even though many users like me play both, each has a slightly different target audience.
At the end of the day, Clash of Clans is starting to slow down, users can only upgrade that much, and most upgrades take 14 days to complete. Not to mention weeks of accumulating Gold or Elixir to get started. And while we don’t expect or want drastic measures to change the entire game, Clash of Clans developers can learn from Clash Royale to improve Clash of Clans.
Of course many of these changes will need to be tweaked to match Clash of Clans, but all of the ideas detailed below will greatly improve the hit game. That said, here are five or more great Clash Royale features or options that we want in Clash of Clans.
