On top of the Belkin Valet Charger Power Pack is a round Apple Watch charging disc with a built-in magnet to attach the Apple Watch to the battery pack. It’s powerful enough to keep the watch connected as long as the user doesn’t move the battery too much.
The end with the Apple Watch charger and USB ports is black, and the other three-quarters of the pack is silver aluminum. Both ends are black plastic.
The rounded rectangular battery pack has a full-size USB port, a micro-USB port, and a power button at one end. The power button also has a 4-light LED indicator strip that shows the status of the battery. Each green LED represents 25% battery life.
The full-size USB port provides only 1A of power, so the Belkin Valet Charger Power Pack won’t fast-charge the iPhone. It only charges larger devices like an iPad or large Android tablet. That’s a big downside of fast-charging batteries and chargers these days. Plan on connecting your phone and watching it overnight rather than getting a quick charge.
The box contains a small 3.9 inch cable with regular USB on one end and micro USB on the other. Use it to charge the battery in valet. It charges the battery itself fast. Connect an AC to USB adapter or a computer with a sufficiently powerful USB port.

The Belkin Valet Charger Power Pack charges your Apple Watch up to 8 times without ever charging the Valet. It can charge an iPhone up to 3 times and less for the larger iPhone 7 Plus.
To give you an idea of how fast it charges an iPhone 7 Plus, I went from 80% to full charge in about 60 minutes while watching a video on the phone. This is also while charging my Apple Watch, which started charging from 92% in about 35 minutes. Both came with a connected Apple Watch and iPhone 7 Plus. Both are under 20% during the night and full by morning.
Belkin has included fast charging in the self-charging port of the Vale Charger. I wish they would have added the ports that charge your phone as well.
Value and Recommendation
The battery pack feels like a solid device. It won’t fall apart. Also, it works great as long as the user doesn’t mind the 1A charger instead of the fast charging 2.4A charger.

People who travel a lot will benefit greatly from the charger. Otherwise, I’d stick with the built-in chargers or find a more powerful charger that fast-charges your phone and Apple Watch.
