Released a support document for Apple a new 35W dual-port USB-C power adapter on the official website. This was clearly a mistake as the Cupertino giant quickly deleted the page.
Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for Apple, our colleagues at 9to5Mac were able to recover the information on the page before it was deleted. “Use the Apple 35W Dual-Port USB-C Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device”explains the support page.
A charger to simultaneously charge an iPhone and an Apple Watch
would beA first for Apple. Currently, the Californian group is not marketing a charger with two USB-C ports. The only accessory that can charge two devices is the MagSafe Duo charger. Many third-party brands, including the core Belkin, still offer quality solutions for wired charging via a single adapter or wireless charging via induction.
“Connect a USB-C cable to any port on the power adapter, then plug the power adapter firmly into the electrical outlet. Make sure the electrical outlet is easily accessible for disconnection. Connect the other end of the cable to your device”Explains the Apple website.
With this power of 35 W, the adapter, charge two devices simultaneouslylike an iPhone (via Lightning cable, wireless, or MagSafe) or an Apple Watch. The iPhone 13 Pro Max does not support wired support of more than 27W versus 5W on the brand’s connected watches, including the Apple Watch Series 7. The accessory would be ideal, for example, on a nightstand.
It is currently unknown when Apple aims to market this new accessory. Apple could wait until September 2022 and the launch of the new iPhone 14. This product may have been discontinued at the end and the page was never scheduled to be published. We will tell you more as soon as possible. While you await more information, feel free to provide your views in the comments below.
