If not all cheats are as effective as one another for stealing Apple, some can be particularly effective. One of them is to manage to get apple brand products for free before selling them at exorbitant prices in the market. The plans are varied and varied, but they all have one thing in common: They have brought millions to their creators. Today’s story is no exception.
The scheme requires two cheats to work. The first one goes to an Apple store and steals a device called Isaac as soon as he gets the chance. The latter is used by store employees to directly access inventory and directly sell products remotely. When the thief gets his hands on it, he leaves the store and, while still connected to the WiFi network, uses the employee’s credentials to access the gift card for several thousand dollars.
13 years in prison for stealing 1.4 million euros from Apple
These gift cards are then sent to the scammer’s Cards app, which generates a QR code. This is where accomplice comes in. Armed with the QR code, he takes turns going to the store to randomly purchase Apple products using the collected gift cards. It’s a relatively simple process that they can repeat at most outlets in the United States.
In total, the two thieves managed to seize about 1.4m euros worth of property in just two years. In 2017, one of his accomplices was finally caught red-handed with an Isaac device. Those arrested by the FBI were sentenced to 13 years in prison and a fine of 1.16 million euros.
