Keyboard lag was one of the major issues we encountered in early versions of iOS 14. The keyboard would hang every time we tried to type text in the Messages app. Luckily, we didn’t run into problems with iOS 14.7.
iOS 14.7.1 is fast and fluid. We didn’t deal with crashes or crashes, apps open quickly, and we didn’t notice any slowdowns in other problem areas like Control Center and Notification Center.
Battery life is strong. We did not notice any abnormal discharge. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity also work on iOS 14.7.1.
All of our core apps are stable, including names like Netflix, Chrome, Gmail, Dark Sky, Asana, and Slack. We haven’t noticed any major issues yet.
App developers are rolling out iOS 14 support updates, so if you’re having issues with your apps, you can try downloading the latest version.
iOS 14.7.1 runs smoothly on our iPhone X. And given the ingredients, we recommend it to most users. However, if you’re having a good experience with older iOS software, you may want to wait for longer term feedback from other iOS 14.7.

We’re having a good experience with iOS 14.7.1, but some iPhone X users are in trouble.
The current list of iOS 14 issues includes abnormal battery drain, crashes, connectivity issues, issues with Widgets, UI lag, Wi-Fi issues, issues with first and third party apps, issues with Face ID, Exchange issues, and more.
If you’re feeling nervous about upgrading to iOS 14.7.1, you may want to step back and wait for Apple’s next bug fixes.

iOS 14.7 Downgrade Disabled
Note that if you migrate your iPhone X to iOS 14.7.1 and can’t stand its performance, you can no longer downgrade your device’s software.
Apple stopped signing in iOS 14.7; This means that you cannot downgrade your iPhone X to the previous iOS 14 version in order to improve its performance. You also cannot downgrade from iOS 14.7.
So be careful if you are currently using iOS 14.7 or older. Once you migrate your phone to iOS 14.7.1, there is no going back.

iPhone X iOS 14.7.1 Update: What’s New
The iPhone X’s iOS 14.7.1 update is a minor upgrade. However, it brings an important security patch that you can read about. Apple’s security site.
If you skipped iOS 14.7, you will receive new features, bug fixes and patches with your update. Highlights included upgrades to the Weather app, improvements to the Apple Card experience, and changes to Apple’s popular Podcast app.

Apple most likely Study In a new iOS 14.8 update, it’s unclear when the company will push the software to the iPhone X and other iPhones.
iOS 14.8 may be available with the new operating system before Apple releases iOS 15 or in September. We’ll let you know when we learn more.
