iOS 14.4 Issues

iOS 14.4 is causing issues for some iPhone users. Some issues are brand new, while others are from older versions of iOS 14.

Apple stopped signing in iOS 14.3; This means that you cannot attempt to improve the performance of your iPhone. This is a permanent change.

The company has also stopped signing in iOS 14.2.1 (iPhone 12 only), iOS 14.2 iOS 14.1, iOS 14.0.1, iOS 14.0 and iOS 13, which means there’s no way to revert to these versions of iOS.

iOS 14.4 Jailbreak

developer teams behind checkra1n and UnC0ver jailbreaking tools have released versions that are compatible with newer versions of iOS 14 but not iOS 14.4.

Fortunately, the latest version of unC0ver is compatible with newer iPhones, including the iPhone 12 series. This is great news if you’ve been waiting to jailbreak your new phone.

However, again, there is no way to revert your phone to iOS 14.3 or any older version of iOS; this means if you upgrade/have already upgraded to iOS 14.4 you are out of luck.

Apple patched the vulnerabilities used by these jailbreaks in iOS 14.4, so it’s unclear how long it will take before we see tools for future versions of iOS 14.4 and iOS 14.

What’s Next for iOS 14?

Apple is working on a new version of iOS 14.

The company has confirmed a new iOS 14.5 update and the software is currently in beta testing before an official release this year. If you don’t want to wait for the official release, you can download the beta.

iOS 14.5 is a milestone upgrade which means it will carry new features, bug fixes and security patches. The beta currently includes AirPlay 2 support for Fitness+, a new option to unlock your iPhone with an Apple Watch while wearing a mask, and much more.

The iOS 14.5 update has some major bug fixes (at least for now), including solutions to green tint issues and stuttering that plagues iPhone 12 models.
