Apple has released an iOS 12.4.5 update for iPhone and iPad models that has not been updated to iOS 13 or iPadOS 13.
iOS 12.4.5 is a point update that means it’s a minor upgrade for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, original iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and iPod touch sixth generation.
If your device is currently running iOS 12.4.4, you’ll get the shortest changelog and the smallest iOS 12.4.5 download.
If your iPhone or iPad is currently running an older version of iOS 12, your iOS 12.4.

iOS 12.4.5 Issues
iOS 12.4.5 is a minor update, but in some cases it has a huge impact on performance.
We’ve been hearing about various iOS 12.4.5 issues like setup issues, abnormal battery drain, connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS), issues with first and third party apps, UI lag, random reboots. and more.
The list of iOS 12.4.5 issues is currently very short, but we expect it to grow as more users migrate their devices to the latest version of iOS 12.

If you are tired of the performance of iOS 12.4.5 on your iPhone or iPad, remember that you can upgrade to iOS 12.4.4. Apple is currently signing.
Unfortunately, this will likely end soon. Apple recently stopped signing in iOS 13.3, so we expect the company to stop signing in iOS 12.4. If you want to go back, you will want to do so in the near future.
Apple doesn’t sign in to older versions of iOS 12, so keep that in mind before upgrading from iOS 12.4.3 or lower. Once you upgrade to iOS 12.4.5, there is no going back.
iOS 12.4.5 Update: What’s New
iOS 12.4.5 update doesn’t bring any new features to iPhone, iPad and Apple does not list in detail any new security patches so it’s unclear what the update brings to the table.
iOS 12.4.5 Jailbreak
You can jailbreak iOS 12, but with iOS 12.4.5 you’ll want to be careful.

what’s next
We’re not sure what’s next for iOS 12 users.
The company may decide to release iOS 12.4.6 on the way, but there’s no guarantee that will happen. If it does, don’t be surprised if it ships with iOS 13.4 this year.
german site iPhone-ticker.de claims Apple will host an event from Tuesday, March 31, to the end of March. If that happens, iOS 13.4 will most likely arrive on and on that date.
If there is another iOS 12 update on the cards for iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 users, expect a release on or around March 31st. So, if you’re seeing issues with iOS 12.4.5, you can at least be on your own for a few more weeks.
If you decide you want the latest iOS features, you’ll need to upgrade to an iPhone or iPad compatible with iOS 13 or iPadOS 13.
