We all use YouTube to listen to music in the evenings, and for good reason, because there you can find almost any title you want, even lesser-known ones, and best of all, it’s still a good way to listen to music for free. The only problem is you have to stay in the app so the screen stays on, draining the battery and you can’t do anything else on your smartphone during this time.
Listen to YouTube music in the background
Finally this was before because now, the OGYouTube app lets you listen to music in the background, including when. your smartphone screen is off. While listening to music with your headphones on the bus or subway, you will even be able to put your smartphone in your pocket, just like YouTube Music.
Installing OggYouTube is very simple, as you can only see on the developer’s site, except that the app is not available on the Google Play Store (and we understand why!). Here’s how:
- see you on the menu Settings > Personal > Security your smartphone and tick the “Unknown sources” box.
- Go to the official website of the application developer by clicking here download from your mobile and start downloading
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install the APK file
- Start OGYouTube, choose a title and start reading.
- To put the application in the background, click the background button or if you put your phone to sleep, the music will continue to play.
Note that the app also lets you download videos. However, beware do not sign in to your google account with the application.
