It’s always better to connect to Wi-Fi when you have access to a network. The connection is usually faster, more stable and unlimited. You don’t need to switch to package mode, especially if you download a lot. Only wifi connection problems Whether on PC or smartphone, it is not uncommon.
You are trying to connect to an unsuccessful WiFi network. Either the device is not connecting or the network connection is established but nothing happens. Got a problem with your smartphone? Is the problem caused by the access point? There are 5 ways to re-establish the WiFi connection.
Try a few WiFi reconnects
This is the most obvious step when you are having trouble connecting to a WiFi network. Disable and re-enable WiFi in most cases it will fix the problem, but it doesn’t have to be on the first try. So be sure to repeat it a few times before exploring other ways.
Use the Forget Network feature
Network Forget is an option available in Android’s WiFi settings. It is used to reset the configurations of the current WiFi network. Since all network information stored in memory is deleted, you will have to scan again, reconnect by entering the password. To forget a network:
- Long press the WiFi icon in the notification bar
- In the list of available networks, long press the offending WiFi name
- In the small window that opens, press the button. To forget
Reconnect by entering the WiFi connection data.
Restart the router and smartphone
The cause of your WiFi connection problem may be the router. This happens all too often and is fairly easy to fix by restarting the modem or better yet, unplugging it for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Wait a minute or so for the modem to fully boot up and try to connect again. If the problem persists, try restarting your smartphone instead.
Does the access point use a proxy?
Trying to connect to a school, university or work WiFi network? Organizations often use a Proxy to protect their networks and filter connections. Just having the password is not enough. Before connecting, you should make sure that you have configured the proxy correctly on your smartphone. Follow the link to find out how.
Your Mac address may have been filtered
Tried several solutions without fixing your WiFi connection issue. If all paths have been searched to no avail, it’s a safe bet that your Mac address has been blocked on the router. If you’re using a neighbor’s, friend’s, or family’s home WiFi, the modem administrator may have removed your Mac address from what’s allowed.
There could be multiple reasons for such an action: perhaps they are accusing you of monopolizing your bandwidth, or – temporarily – trying to prevent you from accessing the Internet. If so, there is nothing you can do other than talk to the box manager.
