Where to Buy Cheap iPad Chargers

in a world where Apple charges $19 for iPad charger, most buyers are probably interested in looking for a cheaper alternative. Fortunately, there are a few options you can take advantage of.

Plus, iPad chargers aren’t just for iPads anymore. The iPhone 6 supports charging at 2.1 amps, allowing the device to take full advantage of an iPad charger. When using a 2.1A iPad charger to charge an iPhone 6, it takes about two hours to charge to around 90%, while with a 5W charger it takes quite a while.

In the past, you could technically charge your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5 using larger iPad chargers, under the misconception that more output from the larger charger would lead to faster charging. However, the iPhone is designed to draw only enough water to sufficiently charge it; that means a larger iPad charger isn’t really worth it in the long run. But the iPhone 6 changes that.

Also, 2.1A charging support is available for both 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.

So, whether you’re looking for an iPad charger for a real iPad or a charger for your iPhone 6, there’s more than one way to buy them at cheaper prices than what Apple charges.

Also, it’s always a good idea to grab a few extra chargers to leave in the office or by your bedroom nightstand, that way you don’t have to carry the same charger everywhere you go, so it never hurts to buy some extra iPad chargers in the first place.

Here are a few places where you can buy iPad chargers for less than at the Apple Store.

Amazon

Amazon sells its own iPad chargers under the ‘AmazonBasics’ brand $9 eachThis is more than 50% off what you would normally pay for an Apple-branded charger. You can also get an AmazonBasics Car charger with 2.1A for $8.

AmazonBasics is essentially Amazon’s in-house brand for miscellaneous accessories. even we rounded up some of the best iPhone accessories Items you can buy from AmazonBasics, including Lightning cables, car chargers, audio cables, cases, screen protectors, and even car mounts.

I’m a big fan of Lightning cables, but the only problem with these is that the plastic casing around the connector is a bit thicker than Apple’s version, so if your iPhone 6 has a case, it could be an Amazon cable. not available. So, you may have to go caseless or look for other Lightning cable options, or you may need to find an iPhone 6 case with a larger opening in the Lightning connector.

One price

If you’re looking for an even cheaper iPad charger, perhaps MonoPrice could be the place to go. They sell 2.1A wall charger only $8 each, the best deal as far as wall chargers from reputable sources. You can also get a car charger that outputs 2.1A. for only 5 dollars.

If you are not familiar with MonoPrice, you should. They make generic “knockout” items like cables, headphones, speakers, and even computer screens, but the quality is much better than what you’ll get from other generic brands in China, which is why we put the word “knock-” in quotes. off”, since MonoPrice has become such a respected brand, it’s essentially not a fake.

While MonoPrice is essentially a “knockout” manufacturer, the company actually makes some solid products, and wall chargers are no exception.

eBay

eBay is a risky place to look for genuine Apple brand chargers, but you can find great deals if you’re careful. However, even if it says “original” or “Made for iPhone” on the list, you still need to be careful.

I recently went hunting on eBay in hopes of finding a cheap used Apple brand iPad charger. I was aware that eBay is full of Chinese imitations that claim to be genuine iPad chargers, but there are quite a few listings from regular users who actually want to get rid of the iPad chargers they bought with their iPad.

I’ve learned that if you find a seller that isn’t a “Power Dealer” (a large company that sells a lot on eBay), it’s likely not going to be a problem. In other words, if you can find an eBay seller who is an ordinary person like you and wants to get rid of the iPad charger, this is usually where you’ll be clear and save some money.
