WhatsApp: how to disable automatic download of photos

To prevent the media from downloading automatically, open WhastApp and tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner:

  • go ” Storage Data Usage »
  • under ” Automatic media download » configure the option for three connection modes (using mobile data, connected to Wi-Fi and roaming).
  • Tap on each and uncheck the fields (Photos, Audio, Videos, and Documents) to disable automatic downloading for that option.
