How to Customize Notifications in Action Center
We’ve broken it down into three parts – disabling notifications, clearing notifications, and hiding the notification count.
Hide or Show Notifications in Action Center
Sometimes while working, you may be annoyed by notification banners. You don’t need to disable Action Center to stop it, just turn off notifications for said apps or enable Focus Assist mode.
To enable or disable apps that should show notifications, open Settings on your computer. Next, select System. Click Notifications & actions from the left sidebar. You will find various settings related to notifications. You can disable notifications completely by turning off the ‘Receive notifications from apps and other senders’ button.

In Chrome, you can enable or disable showing notification banners, showing notifications in Action center, playing sound, customizing notification count, and much more. Similarly, you can customize notifications for other apps and hide or show them in the Action Center.
Clear Notifications in Action Center
Notifications don’t stay in Action Center forever. You can clear all notifications, remove them individually or remove all notifications from an app.
To delete a single notification, hover your mouse over the notification and click the small cross icon.
To clear all notifications from an app, hover your mouse over the app name in the notification section of the Action Center. Click the cross icon.
Click the text Clear all notifications to clear notifications from all apps in the Action Center.

The Action Center icon shows the number of unread notifications. If this bothers you, it can be disabled. To do this, right-click on the Action Center icon and select ‘Don’t show the number of new notifications’.
How to Customize Quick Actions in the Action Center
It can be covered in two parts as shown below.
Adding, Removing and Rearranging Quick Actions

Windows provides two ways to show Quick Actions. You can have all Quick Actions appear in the Action Center or keep only four of them. Click the Collapse text in the Action Center to show only four of them.
Here’s what the collapsed shortcuts will look like. Click Expand to show all.
