Using Your iPhone as a Trackpad

If you need a good deal of your iPhone when you’re not using it, a great way to do it is to use your iPhone as a trackpad.

You might not find it particularly useful to use your iPhone as a trackpad since your laptop already has a trackpad and such, but it can be extremely useful in some situations.

Of course, if you’re already at your desk, there’s no need for that since your mouse is already there. The same goes for a laptop with the trackpad right in front of you if you’re using your MacBook.

However, the great need for an iPhone trackpad that I use quite often is when I plug my MacBook into the TV to watch movies and TV shows while lounging on the couch. I do this a lot when visiting my wife’s parents or watching a movie at a friend’s house.

It’s a pain to have to get up every time to pause a movie or choose a new one, so having a trackpad at your fingertips is much more convenient and allows you to control your computer from nothing more than the couch. fuss.

Here’s how to use your iPhone as a trackpad on your Mac or Windows PC.

Using Your iPhone as a Trackpad

Basically, to use your iPhone as a trackpad for your computer, you need to download an app from the iTunes App Store. Fortunately, there are many apps out there that can turn your iPhone into a trackpad, but unfortunately most are not that good.

However, there is an app called Mobile Mouse it does a pretty good job. This is a free app that you can install on your iPhone (although a Paid version for $1.99 it comes with more features).

After installing the application, you also need to install the computer client, which can be downloaded from Mobile Mouse website. It works with Mac and Windows computers, and there’s even an app for Android if you want to control your computer with an Android device.

After getting the computer client up and running, you can open the iPhone app and connect to your computer from there.

At this point, the app will be ready to use and you can start using the iPhone trackpad right away.

The great thing about the Mobile Mouse is that it does so much more than just function as a trackpad. You can also use it as a keyboard, and there’s even a virtual scroll wheel for scrolling through pages.

There are also a number of settings and options you can tinker with on both your iPhone and your computer. The settings on your computer can adjust the scrolling speed and tracking speed of the Mobile Mouse app, and the settings you can edit on your iPhone within the app include things like enabling Tap-Click, switching between left and right-click buttons, pinching. enable zooming and natural scrolling.

In the $1.99 Pro version of the app, you can unlock features like a media remote (which gives you custom music controls), a web browser remote (which includes key buttons for web browsing), and even a PowerPoint clicker. You can also use the app to switch between apps on your Mac, and there’s even a widget for the app that you can put in your iPhone’s notification center.

Although the free version provides the basics most users will want, I still highly recommend getting the Pro version of Mobile Mouse. That’s because after using the app for a while, you’ll miss these extra features pretty quickly, and $1.99 isn’t too much to spend on such a useful app.
