Upgrading from a jailbroken iOS version to iOS 8 can be a tough decision. After all, you’ll lose your jailbreak until one comes out for iOS 8, which most likely won’t be for another few months. Obviously, if you watched the previous episode, you should already be updated to iOS 8, but if you haven’t done a full restore, simply plug your iOS device into your computer and open iTunes. From there, click on it to download iOS 8 and install it on your device.

When Will We See the iOS 8 Jailbreak?

While there are iOS 8 betas allegedly already jailbrokenwe wouldn’t give up hope of a public release this month or even next month.

In fact, we probably won’t see an iOS 8 jailbreak until the end of the year at the earliest, and that’s because jailbreak developers don’t want Apple to fix exploits for jailbreak too soon. What this means is that if the developers were to release the jailbreak to iOS 8 right now, Apple would have fixed it quickly before the final version of iOS 8 was released to the public, and that would have been bad news for obvious reasons.

As a result, we should expect the same timeframe as the iOS 7 jailbreak, which was released a few months after iOS 7 went public in September 2013. Therefore, you will have to wait a while for an official iOS 8 jailbreak to be released.
