Tutorial: Install Android 4.4.3 KitKat on Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10

However, if the corresponding firmware is already available on Google’s servers, you can stillinstall this update yourself.

Prerequisites

• Charge Nexus 4, 5, 7 or 10 at least 75%
• Get Windows USB drivers for your device
• Get ADB and Fastboot drivers for Windows
• You have a complete backup of your data using our tutorial

Download the Android 4.4.3 KitKat firmware corresponding to your device

• Nexus4
• Nexus 5
• Nexus 7 Wireless (2012)
• Nexus 7 3G (2012)
• Nexus 7 Wi-Fi (2013)
• Nexus 10

Installing Android 4.4.3 KitKat

• Create a folder on your desktop that you will name “Google”.
• Unzip the firmware archive and ADB Fastboot archive files into the “Google” folder
• Restart your Nexus in bootloader mode by pressing the keys at the same time Power + Volume Up + Volume Down
• Connect your Nexus to your PC
• a hungry command window In your “Google” folder (Shift key + Right click)
• Copy command:

fastboot devices

• If your device is not recognized, reinstall the Windows drivers, otherwise go to the next step
• If your bootloader is locked, type:

fastboot oem unlock

• Do the same with the command:

flash-all.bat

• Type the following command to relock your bootloader:

fastboot oem lock
