All our smartphones are equipped with screens of a certain number of inches with a well-defined resolution, but who says that this will correspond to us? Some of you may prefer to have a larger interface, or others may prefer to have smaller elements and therefore more space.
In this tutorial, I will explain in detail how to change the value that will allow you to have an interface of the size you want. Everything will be explained to you in detail, so everyone can follow the different steps without worry.
Android’s DPI represents the actual screen-filling pixels. Lower values than your base DPI give you more workspace, and higher values make the interface larger and easier to use for those who need it.
Prerequisites
- Have a rooted device (Towelroot can help)
How can you zoom in or out your interface by changing the DPI?
For this tutorial I will show you how to do it and the result. I am using and rooted a Samsung Galaxy S4 with custom Paranoid Android ROM (KitKat). I will show you how to reduce the size of your interface, but just follow the same steps to do the opposite.
- To organise DPI Change
- to throw DPI Change
- Choose “save build.prop“and do GB
- choose yours DPI value (depending on initial value)
To remember :
Smaller interface, more space < – Başlangıç Değeri + > Bigger interface, less space
- Choose “Apply density value“and do GB
- Choose “restart the device“and do GB
- And there you go!

- You are back with your original interface
