When Google launched the social network Google+, it gradually integrated it into its ecosystem. Therefore, most Mountain View services now require you to create an account on the social network. It’s the same when you buy an Android smartphone for the first time.
If all this remains transparent to the average user, however, it should be noted that some apps have access to your profile. Fortunately, it is quite possible to disable this option, which is enabled by default.
When you switch to Google’s operating system, almost everything you do on your smartphone is linked to your Google+ account. For example, all the photos you take are saved in the cloud by default. While it may seem practical in this particular case, it still appears that certain apps have access to your Google+ account and it can be annoying there. Here how to disable this option.
1. Launch the app, then click the “three dots” button at the top right to open the menu, and then click Settings.
2. Then click on your email address
3. Select “Apps Signed In with Google+” to open the list of connected apps
4. Click on the app you want to unlink to open the list of options
5. Click “Parse” to fully detach the application and then confirm.
6. If you don’t want to detach the app completely, but just hide your activity, click “Identify people authorized to see app-related activity on Google+”, then check or uncheck the options and confirm your choice with OK.
Again, this is a completely transparent option for the user. However, the truth is that it allows track the history of some of your activities very, very easy.
