Tutorial: How to install Android 4.4.2 on Galaxy Note 3

The biggest surprise is that Samsung has started rolling out the update. Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.4.2 in certain geographic areas, finally only one more precisely because it is only available in Poland. However, knowing that it is exactly the same build as the one leaked yesterday, you will be able to install it yourself using our tutorial. Note that for now, only the Snapdragon 800 version of the phablet (SM-N9005) is in question.

Galaxy Note 3 update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Please note that all your data will be deleted by this update. Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2therefore a previous backup.

Prerequisites

  • Back up your data using our tutorial
  • Download the update file from this link
  • Download Odin3 v3.09 from here or here

Installing Android 4.4.2 on Galaxy Note 3

  • Unzip the previously downloaded archive
  • Extract and launch Odin v3.09
  • Restart your phone in “Download” mode by pressing the keys at the same time. Home + Power + Volume Down
  • Connect your Note 3 to your PC and a blue signal will tell you that Odin has recognized the device.
  • Add file AP_N9005XXUENA6_340325_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 to the AP area
  • Add file BL_N9005XXUENA6_340325_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 in the BL area
  • Add file CP_N9005XXUENA2_REV03_CL1277177.tar.md5 to the CP area
  • Add file CSC_OXX_N9005OXXENA5_327209_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 to the CCS area
  • Check the repartition box. not checked
  • Click the start button

In case of problems:

  • Restart your smartphone in Recovery mode by pressing the keys Power + Home + Volume Up
  • Select Wipe/Factory Reset using the Volume Control keys
