2. Leave the Beta Program
SwiftKey, Fleksy, Google Keyboard etc. All major keyboard apps run a beta program to test new features before they’re generally available. If you are part of such a program and the error does not appear against the keyboard, then it’s time to abandon it and return to the stable version from the Play Store.
Open Play Store on your phone and find the keyboard app you are using. Open the app description and scroll down; You will find the option to leave the beta program. Tap on it, uninstall the app and download the latest stable build from Play Store.
3. Update the App
All Android keyboard apps, including the stock Google Keyboard app, rely on the Play Store to provide constant updates to add new features and fix bugs. Android keyboard not showing up could be due to a new buggy build on the device.
Open Play Store on your device, go to My apps & games, update the keyboard app to the latest version available.
4. Clear Keyboard Cache
A bad app cache can prevent it from working normally. If you are facing unwanted obstacles from the app, it is always recommended to remove the cache data from the app. Follow the steps below to clear the cache from your Android keyboard.
Stage 1: Open the Settings app and go to the Storage menu.

5. Free Storage on Phone
If your phone is running low on storage, it will affect keyboard operations on the device. You may encounter an Android keyboard that does not show errors on the phone. It helps if you consider deleting large or duplicate files using the Google Files app or the Storage menu in the Settings app.
6. Uninstall Apps from Multitasking Menu
This trick is for Android phones running with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. If you have dozens of apps open in the background, it can consume a significant portion of the phone’s RAM. This will leave the keyboard app with less RAM to use on Android phone.
You should open the multitasking menu, remove unnecessary applications from the system and try using the keyboard again.
7. Try Third-Party Keyboard Apps
Most users use Google Keyboard out of the box. If you are constantly encountering problems, try using popular alternatives from the Play Store such as SwiftKey, Fleksy, Mint or Grammarly keyboard.
In our experience, SwiftKey worked like a charm on the four-year-old Pixel XL. We did not encounter any problems in our two weeks of use.
