The Apple Music Voice Plan is a cheaper subscription option for users who haven’t tried the Apple Music service. With a $4.99 price tag, the Audio Plan is cheaper than the Apple Music Individual plans. It allows Apple Music subscribers to access songs, stations and playlists through a Siri request. It also offers music recommendations based on your most recently played music or your chosen music preferences.
While song selections and radio stations are searchable and previewable in Apple Music, users must submit a Siri request to embed them as long as they have a subscription to the Audio Plan. Subscription to Audio Plan may not be for everyone, as music selections are controlled via Siri rather than the Apple Music app. If you have subscribed to a Voice Plan and no longer want to use it, there are three different ways to cancel.
1. Cancel Apple Music Voice Plan from iPhone Settings
One method to cancel Apple Music Voice Plan requires you to access your Phone Settings. You can access your Apple ID subscriptions in Phone Settings. Here’s how it works:
Stage 1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap your Apple ID name at the top of the Settings page to continue.
Stage 3: Tap on Subscriptions on the new page; this should open a new screen showing the different subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.
Step 4: Under the list of active subscriptions, tap the Apple Music subscription.
Step 5: Under Options, tap Cancel Subscription to initiate an on-screen prompt.
Step 6: Tap Confirm on the screen prompt to unsubscribe.
Note: The service is likely to continue until the next billing date.
This is how you can cancel Apple Music Voice Plan from Settings. There is another way to cancel the plan from the Music app.
2. Cancel Apple Music Voice Plan from Music App
Canceling the Apple Music Voice Plan from the Music app is pretty simple. It’s just as easy, if not easier, than doing it from the Phone Settings app. Check below steps to achieve this:
Stage 1: Launch the Music app on your iPhone.
Step 2: In the app, tap Listen Now at the bottom of the screen.
Stage 3: Go to the top right of the screen and then tap the Account icon or picture to start a new screen
Step 4: Tap Manage Subscription from the options on the account page.
Step 5: On the Edit Subscription screen, scroll to the bottom of your page and tap Cancel Subscription.
Step 6: You should see a screen prompt asking you to confirm that you want to unsubscribe. Tap Confirm.
The existing Apple Music Voice Plan should be canceled after following the steps above. Note that the plan will most likely run until the next billing date.
3. Cancel Apple Music Voice Plan from App Store
The last method you can try when canceling your Apple Music Voice Plan is the App Store. The App Store keeps track of all app purchases and subscriptions. Here’s how it works:
Stage 1: Launch the App Store on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap on the profile icon located at the top of the screen.
Stage 3: Tap on Subscriptions from the listed options.
Step 4: On the Subscriptions page, tap Apple Music under the active group.
Step 5: On the Edit Subscription screen, scroll to the bottom of your page and tap Cancel Subscription.
Step 6: Tap Confirm on the screen prompt to unsubscribe.
Stream with Apple Music
You should be able to cancel your Apple Music Voice Plan subscription using any of the three methods described above. The same methods can be applied to cancel other types of Apple Music subscriptions. The plan will continue to run until the next billing days. So you can continue to use the plan until your current billing period ends.
The Apple Music Voice plan is perfect for a taste of what the Apple Music library can do for you. Of course, voice command support is great, but if you want to get more out of the service, check the plan that fits your needs.
