5. Similarly, Spotify authorization. Enter your Spotify credentials and tap “Accept”. Again, this is a one-time process.
Note: Later, if you want to revoke authorization open this page and remove access to Spotify.
6. Now IFTTT is ready to execute actions. When you like a song on YouTube Music or YouTube, IFTTT will search for that song in Spotify and automatically add to custom “YouTube” playlist on Spotify in the background. You don’t need to do anything manually.
7. Note that if the song is not on Spotify, it will not be added. Also, the synchronization process does not happen instantly. IFTTT runs the action once per hour so the liked music video will be added in an hour.
8. IFTTT sync immediately then you will have to do it manually. Open the IFTTT action and tap the “gear” icon. Here, tap “Check Now” to run the syncing process from there to there. This way your YouTube Music will always be in sync with your Spotify playlist.
Transfer Existing Playlists from YouTube Music to Spotify
The above method allows you to create a background service that automatically syncs your YouTube Music with Spotify. remember that you will just apply for newly liked songs and not your current library. So, if you want to transfer your existing library of hit songs from YouTube Music to Spotify, here is how to do it.
There are multiple services that offer music transfer from one platform to another, but here I am Will use Tune My Music service. It doesn’t ask for too many permissions and does the job via playlist URLs. Soundiiz is also good, but you will need to create an account and also authorize the service to fully manage your YouTube account, which I really wouldn’t recommend. Having said all that, let’s go through the steps.
1. First of all, you should make your YouTube Music playlists public or unlisted (anyone with the link can access it). click this link with change privacy settings from your playlists. Now, click on the “Padlock” icon for the playlist you want to transfer to Spotify.
3. On the next page, Select “Unlisted” because it’s more privacy friendly. After that, copy the playlist URL from the address bar.
4. After doing this open it Set up my music website and click onlet’s start“.
5. Then, “youtube music“.
6. Here, paste the playlist URL and click “Load Playlist”. Note that this way you can transfer individual playlists individually. If you also want to export your favorite songs to YouTube Music and other playlists, then click “Install from your YouTube Music account”. You will still need to grant full YouTube admin permission.
