Snapchat’s latest update brings new features to slow down and speed up video capture. Here’s how to use them.
The latest Snapchat app update hasn’t just changed the service’s privacy policies. It also brought new effects for videos, complementing the selfie effects introduced at the end of September. It is now possiblespeed up and slow down videos and even to play back after watching, as Instagram’s new Boomerang app already allows, but that option doesn’t appear to be available on Android yet.
Using these new video effects is very simple because they are hidden inside the filters. Therefore, it is enough to apply them as follows:
1. Launch the Snapchat app and long press the shutter button to save your video
Swipe right for 2. show filters. Getting to know new people is very easy. So you will have to choose the little bunny to speed up the video and the snail to slow it down. When we tell you that they are very easily recognizable!
3. After the filter is applied, click the arrow at the bottom right to proceed to the next step and send your snap.
Note that the app also offers a filter. play videos in reverse and it is symbolized by three arrows pointing left, but unfortunately it is not offered by us, so it seems to be reserved for the iOS version. Hopefully it will be added as part of a future update.
It is one of the most trending apps of the moment, with a 60% market share among 13-14 year olds with smartphones. A fashion effect that seduces and interests even our president, François Hollande, who will soon be on Snapchat.
