Snapchat has recently been the subject of a mega-update rich in new features as it marked the arrival of Chat 2.0, which transforms the short-lived photo-sharing app into a true messaging client with video chat and VoIP telephony.

Snapchat becomes an email client with Chat 2.0
To better face WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, Snapchat removed all the stops with Chat 2.0. Chat 2.0’s interface is not far from Facebook Messenger. In a conversation, you are presented with five options:
- Send an image from your phone’s gallery (You can send multiple images at once)
- make a voice call
- Send Instant
- make a video call
- Send a sticker (200 stickers available)
- Send an audio or video message
As you can see, the interface is pretty simple and gets you straight to the point. To send a voice message, all you have to do islong press the button dedicated to voice calls. To send a video message, you will have to do the same with the button dedicated to video chat.
Change your faces with Face Swap
Face Swap feature introduced in a previous update, take a photo with a friend and then swap faces with theirs. Crazy laughter effect guaranteed! It’s the kind of photo we’d love to do in the evening, then take care to save it to our phone’s photo gallery and then post it on Facebook. To perform a Face Swap, simply proceed as follows.
- Start the app in selfie mode and then long press on your face. enable effects
- Scroll through the effects and select Face Swap (finally)
- Combine your two faces in the frames provided for this purpose (avoid wearing glasses or other accessories)
- Press the first icon, then the second icon to start the recognition process.
