Samsung Galaxy Buds2 are the latest true wireless earbuds to come out of the house of Samsung. And just like their predecessors, these two headphones pack a punch. You get a wide soundstage, a touch-sensitive surface, and above all, a slim and stylish design. The good thing is that these buds can be connected to a PC, iPhone or Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch other than your Samsung smartphone.
The best part is that it retains some functions such as ANC, Audio Transparency and Play/Pause function. However, it does turn a few features down.
Still, if you want to connect the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 to your Windows PC, iPhone and other devices, here’s how to do it. Lets start.
Pairing Galaxy Buds2 with Your Windows PC or Desktop
As we mentioned above, connecting Galaxy Buds2 with Windows PC is a simple process. And if you have a Windows Swift Pair installation, you don’t need to bother doing a separate installation (more on that later).
Stage 1: Reset the buds first. Open the case and press and hold the touch sensitive area for about 10-15 seconds. Next, put them in your ear and you will hear a series of beeps.
This means your headphones are reset.
Resetting the Galaxy Buds2 is important especially if you have paired it with your phone before. However, it’s a one-time thing only and you don’t need to do this every time you tie your buds.
step 2: Turn on your Windows 10 PC (Win Key + I), go to Devices > Bluetooth and other devices and click Add Bluetooth or other devices.
Then select Bluetooth to start scanning.
Keep the buds within matching distance, after a while they will pop up in the menu. Now, just pick the buds and that’s it. They will now connect.
Now, open Netflix and stream your favorite Marvel show.
As we mentioned earlier, this to be be a long process. If you have Swift Pair enabled on your PC, you will see the prompt in the right corner of the screen.
To enable Microsoft’s Swift Pair feature, go back to the Bluetooth menu, scroll down until you see the Swift Pair option and select it.
Note that your PC’s Bluetooth card must support Microsoft’s Swift Pair. Some older Bluetooth cards do not support this and when this happens the Swift Pair options will not be available.
How to Pair Galaxy Buds2 with iPhone
When it comes to Apple iPhone, connecting Galaxy Buds2 is an easy process.
Stage 1: Pull down your iPhone’s Control Center and tap and hold the Bluetooth icon.
Here again, you will need to put the Galaxy Buds2 into reset mode to make pairing easier.
Step 2: Galaxy Buds2 will appear in settings. Just click on it and the buds will connect. Simple, see.
Besides letting you listen to your favorite tracks, you can access some basic touch-based functions. For example, you can play and pause music with a single tap and long press to turn on Audio Transparency. Similarly, you can enable/disable ANC.
Pairing Galaxy Buds2 with MacBook Pro
Similar to Windows laptops and iPhone, Galaxy Buds2 can also connect to Apple MacBook Pro or Macbook Air.
Stage 1: Open the Action Center on your Mac and select Bluetooth from the menu.
The usual rules apply here; You need to reset the buds to have a smooth pairing process. Then hold the buds close to your MacBook.
step 2: In the Bluetooth menu, you will see the list of previously paired devices. Click on Bluetooth Preferences and select Galaxy Buds2 from the device list.
Click on connect and that’s it.
Pairing Galaxy Buds2 with Galaxy Watch 4
Finally, the Galaxy Buds2 pair well with Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4. You can control the playback via the watch. You can play the music through Spotify or the stock music widget.
At the same time, this arrangement gives you the flexibility to leave your phone anywhere while you control your music from your watch.
Stage 1: On your watch, swipe up or down on the home screen to access Settings. Select Connections > Bluetooth from the menu.
step 2: Tap on Scan and after a while you will see Galaxy Buds2 in the list. All you have to do is tap on it and Voila! The buds will connect to your phone.
Match Them Correctly
This is how you can pair your Samsung Galaxy Buds2 with all your devices. The process is easy and barely takes time.
