NBA 2K20 Issues and Fixes

NBA 2K20 is out, which means we’re hearing about the first batch of issues plaguing Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.

As expected, there are various bugs and performance issues affecting the latest version of NBA 2K. Some of the issues are minor annoyances, others are much more frustrating and have the potential to ruin your experience.

Some issues can be resolved within minutes, but others may be a little more difficult to resolve. Some issues will likely require a fix from 2K Games and Visual Concepts. As we move away from the release date, we expect the developer to release a regular NBA 2K20 bug fix update.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Face Scan Issues

Like previous entries in the series, NBA 2K20 lets you scan your face into the game so you can play the game yourself. And as with previous games, people have trouble scanning their faces into the game.

You need the MyNBA2K20 app to scan your face into the game. iPhoneiPador Android. After downloading the appropriate app, you need to make sure your MyPLAYER account is linked to both NBA 2K20 and MyNBA2K20.

If you’re having trouble getting your face properly scanned into the game, here are a few ground rules.

When scanning your face, make sure you are in good light without shadows. Shadows have a tendency to spoil the scan.

You’ll also want to make sure you’re holding your device at eye level. If you set it too high or too low, your scan may break. 2K Games recommends holding the phone about 18 inches from your face.

When scanning begins, be sure to turn your head slowly while looking ahead.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Download Issues

NBA 2K20 requires a huge download so it may take some time to complete. We expect download times to improve as playback speed decreases, but there are some things you can try if your download is taking too long or is getting stuck.

If your download is starting and gets stuck, try pausing the download, waiting a minute or two, and restarting it. If that doesn’t work, you’ll want to cancel the download and try again.

If the actual download speed is abnormally slow, try plugging your ethernet cable directly into your console or Windows PC. This can speed up the download process especially if your system is far from your router.

If none of these work, you should try restarting your router. Unplug your router, wait a minute or two, and plug it back in.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Installation Issues

Again, NBA 2K20 requires quite a bit of space on your hard drive, and storage issues sometimes prevent games from loading properly. If you’re having trouble installing the game, make sure it’s not storage related.

If you’re playing on Xbox One, go to My Games & Apps and check how much storage you have on your internal/external storage.

If you are playing NBA 2K20 on PlayStation 4, you need to go to your console’s Settings and check your free space.

If you are sure you have enough space, but the game still does not load properly, you should try resetting your console.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Connection Issues

If you can’t connect to NBA 2K20’s servers, you’ll want to check and make sure 2K’s servers are okay. you will want to check official social media accounts for announcements and DownDetector For complaints from 2K players.

There’s also a chance that your issues are related to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network outages or technical issues. If you’re playing on Xbox One, check the status of Xbox Live here. If you’re playing on PlayStation 4, check the status of PlayStation Network right here.

If all of these are working, we suggest you reset your router and try again.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Freezing Issues

If your game suddenly crashes between events, during a cutscene, or in another part of the game, you’ll want to restart your console or PC.

How to Fix NBA 2K20 Performance Issues

If you’re playing NBA 2K20 on a Windows PC and are experiencing performance issues (low framerate, bad graphics, etc.), make sure your setup meets the game’s minimum and/or recommended requirements.

If you don’t meet the minimum requirements, this may explain the issues you’re seeing. If you do not meet the recommended requirements, you will probably need to lower your settings.

If you’re playing the game on a console and are seeing performance issues, we recommend restarting the game and/or console to see if things improve.
