The Mate 30 Pro is one of the biggest technological achievements of this end of the year. Our extensive review of Huawei’s new flagship confirms this. An elegant design with mineral glass on the sides and aluminum on the edges. A triple photo sensor comfortable in any situation. And it’s a technical platform that’s on par with top competing smartphones. The price is up to ambition: around 1100 Euros. Thanks to the €200 deferred refund offer, the price drops below €900. And some of the accessories offered will eventually seduce some. The Mate 30 Pro will be released in France on December 9th.
But the real problem with the Mate 30 Pro is frankly Absence of Google services, especially the Play Store, which lets you install apps. An absenteeism as a result of the embargo imposed on the Chinese firm by the American government. Undoubtedly, Huawei offers an alternative: “Huawei Mobile Services” with its cornerstone AppGallery and tens of thousands of applications. However, not all common applications are out there. And some inconsistencies hurt the experience.
