Sony is hosting another virtual showcase for its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. It will be released later today and we expect to hear the last drops of valuable information: a release date and prices for both configurations of the PS5 (disc-free version and model with Blu-ray drive). Sony may have planned September 16 as the big news day from the very beginning, but it seems like a response to Microsoft that basically revealed every detail about the Xbox Series S/X consoles, including their prices, release dates and prices. looks. specs last week after a leak.
Can Sony beat Microsoft’s $299 price point for the Xbox Series S or match the Xbox Series X at $499? We’ll probably find out.
Additionally, Sony says the 40-minute broadcast will include updates to Sony studios’ first-party titles and titles from third-party partners, coming at launch and just beyond the launch window. You can probably expect this to take up most of the show’s runtime.
