The Oscars are taking place late tonight, and if you want to catch all the action, here’s how to watch the Oscars live.
Winning an Oscar is one of the highest honors an actor or actress can receive, and many big stars have been nominated to receive Oscars this year.
However, not only do actors and actresses get a chance to shine, but the movies themselves also win some big awards like Best Picture and Best Animated Feature Film.
If you’re going to be home to watch the Oscars, you can catch the ceremony starting at 7pm ET tonight on ABC, and you won’t need cable to watch the show as it airs on ABC. Instead, you’ll only need one aerial antenna.
But if you won’t be home to watch the festivities, you can still watch the ceremony on your computer or mobile device.
2016 Oscars Live Stream
The only way to watch the Oscars live on your computer, Go to ABC’s website It gives you access to where it will broadcast the awards ceremony, backstage and even the red carpet.
Unfortunately, a cable subscription is required to take advantage of Watch ABC, and live streaming is only available in select markets in the US, including Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco .
This was the case when the Grammy Awards were on, and those who wanted to air it had to be in a specific market, but no cable subscription was required. Instead, a paid subscription to CBS All Access was required.
You can also stream the Oscars on your mobile device from: Watch the ABC app For iOS, Android and Windows devices.
However, just like with ABC.com on your computer, you will need a cable subscription that you can verify to take advantage of the live streaming features.
Also, watch ABC on mobile is only available in certain regions in the US. Hopefully ABC will roll out availability in the future, but if you’re outside of a big city, you’re almost out of luck.
