How to watch Sony’s PS5 game livestream

If you’ve been dying to learn more about Sony’s new console, the PlayStation 5, you’ll want to tune in to the company’s livestream event, which kicks off at 4pm ET / 1pm PT on Thursday, June 11th. Sony has been tight-lipped about the PS5, which will be released later this year, and which we haven’t seen fully yet. That could change with an hour of activity – or maybe we’ll just have to wait a little longer.

Sony says this event will offer “a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday.” Given the event’s long runtime, it’s likely that there will be a few minutes devoted to what the console looks like and more about the DualSense controller. If not, we’ll at least see some launch titles. Sony’s Sid Shuman recommends wearing headphones during the event, as “there’s some great audio work on show and it can be harder to tell if it’s pumping through your phone or laptop speakers.”

When does the PS5 event start?

Starts at 4PM ET / 1PM PT / 9PM BST. It is scheduled to take an hour.

Where can I watch PS5 event?

There’s live streaming video embedded above so you can stay here to watch it when it starts. Otherwise, go to these links.

Where can I find a 4K / 60fps stream?

Sony chose to stream its pre-recorded rendering in 1080p at 30fps, but everything it shows will support 4K resolution and will likely run at high frame rates on PS5. It’s possible that Sony will upload a high-definition version of the showcase to YouTube after the livestream.
