The LG G5 launch event is today, February 21, and excited fans will be happy to know that LG is going live. Potential buyers will be able to watch the phone show up and unfold live on stage using most smartphones, tablets or computers, and that’s it.
LG will take the stage in Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday night ahead of Mobile World Congress to announce the all-new metal LG G5. This is 5AM and 8AM ET in the United States (Pacific Time).
This year, LG wants to highlight Samsung rather than launch the phone a few months after its rivals. As a result, they’re announcing the LG G5 hours ahead of the Galaxy S7 and will reportedly launch it mid to late March. Read on for more details and how to watch the live stream.

The LG G5 launch livestream is available on LG Korea YouTube, so you can watch it on almost any device that connects to the internet. It will likely also air on LG Mobile USA and we’ll update it with direct video feeds when the time comes.
Earlier this month, after countless leaks and rumors, LG confirmed that February 21 is that day and has even started calling it LG G5 day, essentially confirming exactly what will happen. They’re making fun of the photos on Twitter and Facebook, suggesting that these dual rear cameras will be one of the highlights of the announcement. Are we ready for LG G5 Day?

So far we’ve heard that the LG G5 will feature an all-metal design, fingerprint scanner, a smaller 5.3-inch display, and some fancy unique design changes to keep all users’ favorite features. There’s a “Magic Dock” or removable bottom that gives access to a removable and replaceable battery and allows for additional accessories and much more that we can expect to see live on stage. The G5 will feature a micro SD slot for expanding storage, USB Type-C and more.
Leaks and rumors suggested a release date of late March, which was two months earlier than last year. As the live stream unfolds today, we’ll update with additional details, pre-order information, pricing, accessories, release dates, and more if available.
