Adding Additional Email

When you first open the Mail app on your iPhone, you’ll be greeted with some email options, including Apple’s own, Microsoft, Google, and more.

By selecting the service you are currently using, you will be prompted to enter your information before and after Mail allows you to receive mail.

Currently, you will notice that opening the Mail app only shows the mailboxes of your current account if you wish. To add more accounts you will need to navigate to the app and from there to there.

Adding an Account

You will see the option under your current mail account. Tapping this will again reveal the account options previously seen when creating your first account.

Differentiating Accounts

Once you’ve authenticated your secondary account, there are some things you might want to do before exiting Settings.

It’s important to determine which is in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings so your Mail app knows from which account to start new messages. This is especially useful if you have a work account and a personal account on your device and you are talking about the accident.

If you’ve added something like Gmail that also uses its own Contacts and Calendars repository, it’s a good idea to scroll down further and make sure it’s correct and sourced.
