The new Snapchat AR Bitmoji feature is now live. Just two days after Apple unveiled the iPhone X Snapchat incognito feature that its True Depth camera system will make Snapchat Lenses better, there’s a new Snapchat AR feature that will work on all iPhones and soon Android — Snapchat AR Bitmoji.
Instead of placing random objects that don’t look like you into the world around you, you can now use World Lenses that let you put your AR Bitmoji anywhere in Snapchat.
There are six different Snapchat AR Bitmojis available to you right now, and we expect more to come as the feature rolls out to additional users. All iPhone owners should be able to use Snapchat Bitmoji World Lenses now and it will arrive on Android in the near future.
Snapchat now lets you use AR Bitmoji in the World Lenses feature.
You can see a few of the Snapchat AR Bitmoji options in the image above. You can place them in a static position and then move the camera for the perfect shot. Users can change the position and size of the Augmented Reality Bitmoji character on the screen. The Bitmoji will animate and then cycle through a short series of moves.
Users can save a video or take a Snap of AR Bitmoji to later send to Snapchat or save to Camera Rolls or Galleries and share on Facebook or any other service like any other photo.
How to Use Snapchat AR Bitmoji
For this to work, you need to make sure your Snapchat app is updated to the latest version. You also need to make sure your Snapchat and Bitmoji accounts are linked.
- update Snapchat
- open Snapchat
- Go to rear facing camera
- Tap the screen once
- tap the small circles at the bottom
- Select Snapchat Bitmoji World Lens to use
- Save or shoot a Snap as normal.
You can also use Snapchat Memories to save them to your camera roll; this way, it allows you to post them on Facebook and send them as text messages or iMessages if you prefer to use them that way.
