Apple TV lets you sign in using your Apple ID to access all your media like TV shows, movies, and even music from Apple Music. However, if you have multiple Apple users at home, here’s how to use and switch between multiple accounts on Apple TV.
The ability to have multiple Apple ID accounts has been added as a new feature to the new 4th generation Apple TV, giving you access not only to your media but also to other people in the house.
The new Apple TV was released late last year and is a major overhaul over the previous model. That’s not surprising given that Apple hasn’t touched the Apple TV since 2012.

Adding Another Apple ID Account
After you set up your Apple TV by adding your own Apple ID account and end all other features, you can still add another Apple ID account to your Apple TV in settings.

On the next page, enter the email address associated with the Apple ID you want to add. In the next step, you will enter the password for that account and then press .

Switching Between Accounts
This is where it gets a little tricky because you can’t have two Apple ID accounts signed into Apple TV at the same time, so you’ll have to switch between them.
Switching between accounts is actually pretty easy, but not as easy as you might think, and having multiple Apple ID accounts isn’t the best solution, especially if you switch between them frequently.
Go to and select the account you want to use according to the email address shown.
From here, Apple TV will download that account media and make it available to watch or listen to. GameCenter data will also be available for this account, so when you go to play, you will get all your data from your own account without having to use someone else’s information.
